Really? I think the Selfish Gene is the only thing that Dawkins has written that doesn't make him look like an idiot.

My partner has seen him in person and watched him in a seminar, the guy is moron and just as bad as evangelist christians.

Because he argues on the same level as insane christians, and treats atheism like it's a religion. He tends to argue with onesided stuff, his teapot argument was completely out of context.

He's a good scientist, horrible philosopher.

Currently finishing The Road by Cormac McCarthy so I have something to compare the potentially terrible movie coming out to. The book is good.
